In the series ‘Our fixers’, we talk to 12 different colleagues about working at Novar. Each of them works in a different department, but with a common goal: fixing the energy transition. We kick off the series with Pauline Rumphorst, a member of the sales support team.
‘As a member of Novar’s support team, I have a very versatile role. From approaching landowners to initiate new renewable energy projects to supporting colleagues with a variety of tasks – no week is the same.
At the moment, the biggest challenge in my job lies in making contact with landowners. Provincial and municipal policies can be an obstacle here, and many farmers struggle to see the positive effects of solar parks. But when I do get in contact with the landowners, I feel like a real fixer. Just like when I get valuable feedback, which creates new assignments and keeps me continuously learning within the company.
What appeals to me about working at Novar is the common goal we pursue: the acceleration of renewable energy. It feels good to already contribute to this as a working student and at the same time learn a lot from my colleagues.
For me, Novar’s strength lies mainly in the team and the way we interact with each other. Every working day brings new challenges, but everyone is committed to realising projects and thus contributing to the energy transition.’
